| Homework Assistant: Assist children ages 6-12 in the completion of their homework. The "Power Hour" homework assistance program divides students into groups by their grade. This program is a critical part of our after-school academic program. All clubs members must complete their homework or an enrichment activity before they can participate in another program area.
One-on-one Tutor: Work one-on-one with an individual student who needs extra help to improve their academic skills. Tutoring activities include helping with homework and/or preparing for tests. Spanish speakers are encouraged. The academic staff will pair each tutor with a student and provide resources and a plan of action for each tutoring session. Tutoring needs vary across subjects and grade levels between elementary to high school.
Enrichment Assistants and Leaders: Help our academic staff lead fun enrichment activities to help our members learn and explore new subject areas including: Jr. Engineers, Culture Club, Cooking, Spoken Word Poetry, Dance, Newspaper Class, Creative Writing, Painting and Design, Entrepreneurship club.
Computer Clubhouse Mentor: Help members as they use computers to research topics on the Internet, learn new software programs and even record their own music. Plan and lead a workshop on a software program or application. Some workshops have included: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Endorphin and Maya tutorials. Staff can assist you in planning your lesson.
Music Instructor: Teach an individual how to play an instrument. Instructors for all instruments are needed, including trumpet, piano and guitar. Staff will provide students with instruments and music materials.
Soccer/Basketball Coach: Coach a team of ten club members participating in our indoor soccer or basketball leagues. Help club members learn fundamental skills during practices and games. Serve as a role model for good sportsmanship both on and off the court.
Referee: Serve as referee for our indoor soccer or basketball games.
Game Room Assistant: Help staff organize tournaments for club members in a variety of interactive games. Join youth in a game of pool, foosball, or teach an eager child how to play your favorite board game. The game room is the heart of each of our clubhouses and is open to all members daily.
Teen Academic Mentor: Tutor students in high school level subjects. Assist students in preparing a plan and goals to graduate from high school and attend college or a job training program. Mentor student through the application process for college or job training program.
Teen Program Assistant: Join teen members as they explore creative arts, technology,cooking skills, and social activities. Help staff lead workshops on life skills, fiscal responsibility and Career building as we help prepare teens for real life responsibilities.
