Our clubhouses are a place to belong. They’re a place to be with positive peer groups and adults who care, who mentor, and who inspire. They’re a safe haven. Here young people find the support they need to face challenges and fulfill potential. In our most challenged neighborhoods, our clubs provide the opportunities kids lack, so they can thrive.
We have 3 clubhouses located in East Palo Alto, Redwood City and Menlo Park.
BGCP is about community. Club members learn to make commitments, stay focused, navigate uncertainty, and make good choices. They learn to think beyond themselves, express themselves constructively, and strive for high expectations. At our clubs, we develop the academic, emotional and social skills young people need to complete high school ready for college and career.
We believe that igniting a child’s passion is a key to their success. From sports to interactive science, engineering, and video and computer programs to art, poetry, music and dance, we offer a wide range of academic and recreational opportunities to inspire learning and personal growth. Small group instruction and tutoring allow for individualized attention with school work, high school and college applications and life guidance.
At our clubhouses young people come to understand the importance of education. Members of all ages actively learn about potential careers through field trips and visits from professionals that encourage their aspirations and outline paths to success. Consistent, long-term mentorship keep kids engaged and on track.
BGCP helps parents engage in their child’s education. We regularly host events that bring parents, students and teachers together. We offer ESL and a range of parent education classes so that together we can best support your child.

BGCP and Menlo-Atherton High School (M-A) co-created the MyLife program to increase the graduation rate of M-A’s most at-risk students. It is a high school success program designed to help these students build the skills, study habits and support network that will enable them to access and manipulate the course content, and ultimately, to succeed academically. Many participants are recommended by teachers, counselors, or their parents based on various risk factors that may jeopardize their graduation. MyLife is an after-school program located on-site at the high school.Apply Now
