About Girls Day
Girls Day is our annual girl empowerment event where 80 BGCP girls in 8th-12th grade are paired with 80 women community leaders for a full day of mentoring and learning.
BGCP serves 2,500 students from low-income neighborhoods in East Palo Alto, eastern Menlo Park, and Redwood City. 50% of our members are girls, who despite a strong drive to succeed, are limited by the inability to access the opportunities afforded their more affluent peers. For over a decade, BGCP’s Girls Day has worked to close that opportunity gap by connecting BGCP girls with women community leaders, and giving both the opportunity make an inspiring connection with someone they otherwise would never meet.
Join other women leaders as you meet, encourage, and provide 1:1 mentorship for a teen girl.
