VOLUNTEER AT YOUR LOCAL BGCP CLUBHOUSE OR SCHOOL SITE!

Are you interested in working alongside our incredible staff to help run fun, engaging and impactful programming? Can you commit even a few hours a week?  We’re looking for volunteers to work with our students in the following areas: 

  • Group Homework Help

  • 1-1 or Small Group Academic Subject Tutoring

  • Art Enrichment Support

  • Computer Science, Engineering and other STEM Enrichment Support

  • Literacy/Reading

BGCP delivers high quality programming at the following schools/clubhouse sites:

  • Redwood City

    • Kennedy Middle School (6-8)

    • Garfield Community School (K-5)

    • Hoover Elementary School (K-8)

    • Taft Elementary School (K-5)

    • Redwood City Teen Center (9-12)

  • Menlo Park

    • Menlo Park Clubhouse (K-8)

    • Belle Haven Elementary School (K-5)

  • East Palo Alto

    • Costaño Elementary School (K-5)

    • Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School (6-8)

    • Los Robles Elementary School (K-5)

    • East Palo Alto Clubhouse (K-12)

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

  1. Apply here.
  2. Complete compliance requirements (4-5 hours total). Please note: Per BGCA and BGCP guidelines, volunteers must complete yearly compliance requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. These include a Live Scan, mandated reporter and sexual-harassment training, a valid TB test, and proof of COVID vaccination.

  3. Claim volunteer slots in your account on VolunteerHub.com. Please note: we are looking for consistent volunteers who sign up for a weekly slot for 8-weeks at a time.

  4. Attend orientation
